Mary Matha Public School, Chakkupalam, celebrated Onam, the festival of unity and prosperity, with great joy and enthusiasm. The entire campus was filled with festive spirit as students, teachers, and staff came together to honor the cultural heritage of Kerala.
The celebration began with the traditional Pookkalam (floral carpet) created by students, showcasing vibrant designs and creativity. The highlight of the day was the arrival of Maveli, symbolizing equality and prosperity, which brought smiles and excitement among the children.
Students presented cultural programs including Thiruvathira, Onappattu, and traditional dance performances, reflecting the rich traditions of Kerala. Various fun-filled games like Vadamvali (tug of war) and other traditional competitions added energy and laughter to the event.
The celebration concluded with the spirit of togetherness and the message of harmony that Onam conveys. It was truly a memorable day that strengthened the bond among the Mary Matha School family.
